The term “personal information” does not apply to (a) business contact information or publicly available information, each as defined by applicable laws; or (b) de-identified or aggregated data, such as traffic patterns, search activity, and other information that cannot, alone or in combination with other information, be used to identify an individual (“De-identified Data”). We may collect, use, disclose and otherwise process business contact information, publicly available information and De-identified Data for any purpose permitted or required by applicable law.
2. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW
We collect personal information in the following circumstances:
Creating an account. You are not required to create an account to purchase our products. However, if you decide to create an account, you will provide us with certain information, such as your name, email address, username, password, company name and preferences (such as your wish list of products). If your account is created while placing an order, we will also request your shipping address and phone number.
Purchasing a product from our website. When you make a purchase, you are given the option of logging into an account or checking out as a guest. In either case, when you purchase a product, you will provide us with information, such as your name, email address, phone number, shipping address, order number and financial information, as described further below under “Making a payment”.
Making a payment. When you make a payment to Solo Stove in connection with a product purchase, you need to provide personal information to us and/or to our third-party payment processor, Bolt Financial, Inc. Such personal information may include your name, address, phone number and payment information, including your credit card type, number, CVC and expiry date, as well as your billing details.
Communicating with us. We collect personal information you provide to us when you communicate with us via email, by calling our customer service department, or by using the Contact Us feature on our website, including your name, email address, phone number, order number, and any information contained in your message and any attachments to your message. We may also collect your email address and preferences when you sign up to receive our sales announcements, news, offers or other communications.
Sharing your opinion. We collect information you provide to us when you participate in one of our surveys or post a product review.

Vendors and Service Providers. In certain cases, we use the services of third-party vendors and service providers to assist us in providing the Services. Currently, the service providers engaged by Solo Stove who may have access to or process the personal information that we collect, store or otherwise process include:
- Braintree (Paypal), located in Chicago Illinois, who may have access to account, purchase and payment information for the purpose of providing checkout services, including processing payment for your order;
- Route, located in Lehi, Utah, who may have access to your order information for the purposes of providing tracking and order insurance.
- Voyage, located in Santa Monica, California and Klayvio located in Boston, Massachusetts, and YotPo located in New York, New York who may have access to personal information such as name, mailing address and email address, for the purpose of sending sale announcements, news, offers or other marketing communications that you sign up to receive and giving effect to any opt-out or unsubscribe decisions you make;
- No Fraud, located in New York, New York who provides fraud screening services for credit card payments and therefore may have access to your name, address, phone number, email address, and financial information;
- Ship Station, located in Austin, Texas, who provides shipping and fulfillment services may have access to your name, shipping address, email address, phone number, and payment information if necessary.
Business transactions. We may disclose your personal information to third parties in connection with financing that we seek, or in connection with a prospective or completed business transaction, including a merger, sale, transfer or liquidation involving all or port of Solo Stove or its assets, or as part of a corporate reorganization or other change in legal form or corporate culture.
Legal & Compliance. There are circumstances where we may disclose or otherwise handle personal information without notice or consent, when required by applicable law or lawful authority. For example, from time to time, we may be compelled to release information in connection with statutory reporting obligations, search warrants, court orders, bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings or other legal proceedings or processes. We may also disclose personal information to investigate a potential breach of law or contract; to prevent, investigate or detect fraud; to collect on a debt; or in certain emergency situations that threaten the life, health or security of an individual.
Consent. We may also share your personal information with your consent.
5. RISKS OF HARM AND OTHER CONSEQUENCES
We are committed to keeping your personal information secure and confidential. We have taken measures to protect your information from loss, unauthorized access or unauthorized disclosure, including performing routine security audits related to our network, contracting with reputable third-party vendors who have robust privacy procedures, and training our employees to protect our networks from unauthorized use.
However, no matter how hard we try, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. We cannot guarantee that personal information that is transmitted to us, particularly by electronic means, will be totally secure. It is possible that third parties may unlawfully intercept or access such information.
You are responsible for safeguarding your account information, including your log-in credentials, at all times.
6. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We utilize cloud-based storage services and therefore us or our vendors may transfer or store your personal information outside of Canada, including to or in the United States. Personal information transferred or stored outside of Canada will be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) where it is transferred or stored, and may be accessible to foreign courts, law enforcement and national security authorities in the jurisdiction(s) where it is transferred or stored.

7. QUEBEC PRIVACY NOTICE
Your personal information may be accessed by or disclosed to Solo Stove employees who have a need to know such information. Such employees may include customer service agents, IT, and our third-party fulfillment company, and subject matter experts who are knowledgeable on matters related to your question or other communication with us.
We may store your personal information through our third-party vendors discussed above.
8. CHILDREN OR MINORS
Our Services are not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. YOUR RIGHTS
Withdrawal of Consent. If our processing of your personal information is based on your consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal and actual restrictions. However, in some cases, this may result in your inability to receive partial or full access to the Services, and your withdrawal of consent does not apply retroactively. In addition, your withdrawal of consent does not prevent us from retaining and processing personal information if we are required to do so by applicable law.
Opt-out of Communications. If at any time you decide that you no longer want to receive oursales announcements, news, offers or other communications about our products and services, you can change the preferences you selected at the time of registering for your account. Our email messages will also provide you with an opportunity to opt-out of receiving further messages. Account Information. You can review and update some of your personal information by accessing your account.
Access Rights. You may request access to and review of your personal information that is in the possession of Solo Stove. However, access may be declined where permitted or required by applicable law.
Correction Rights. You may request that we correct personal information that is in the possession of Solo Stove, subject to legal and actual restrictions.
